While major of songs won SOTY are in top 10 YEC, only Growl, SD and Dynamite are not in top 10. However, Growl were granted national hit right/ a big hit already in 2013 and Dynamite were breaking a lot of records at the time, it only left SD wasn’t a big hit AT THE RELEASED TIME despite winning the award. I understand that SD is a big hit but that’s only defined due to its longevity, which is quite subjective at the release time. I would consider Through the night / Really Really as SOTY for 2017 as they are both bigger hits in term of performance in 2017, however, SD won it. So NL as a viral hit, will breaking record of the most week in top 10 for 2021 release, will end up in top 10 MELON YEC, chance of getting MMA SOTY is very good.
