Whatever happened between them ended badly. I mean they were digital monsters so it makes no sense for either member to leave the team. And I feel like since they broke up, she's been all alone which isn't good for her mental state. Plus, she did significantly worse on the charts after Jiyoon left. And with digimonsters, they need that support from the general public to survive because their physical sales are worse than even nugu groups. I hope she gets better, but I'm glad she's taking rest instead of forcing herself to work further harming her mental health.
Because the company was full focused on Ahn Ji-young.
Ji-yoon was her shadow, at the start she did some raps and some singing, but their latest comebacks she didn't, and with Ji-young also composing and writing almost al their songs Ji-yoon left because she wanted to sing and make her music.
Right now Ji-yoon has released some music as a soloist and posts some covers on her YouTube channel.
Jiyoon has not disappeared. She released some songs last year under the name "odd child" which are available on Spotify. They were actually really good in my opinion - one of them "island" was one of my favorite songs of 2020.
In my opinion - I have not been bothered about Ahn ji-young being on hiatus. The way she conducted herself after jiyoon left with trying to make herself the victim and jiyoon the bad guy left a very bad taste in my mouth...
she came off narcissistic to me... she should have just kept it civil
