I think if JYP plays the correct cards and get people interested in the fact TWICE is releasing their first English single with an interesting roll out the song can catch the public attention quickly and if they like it more listeners will join.
I don’t really think the language itself is a problem, right now 5 English songs are charting in Melon top 20 (PTD,Butter,Peaches,STAY and Dynamite), Rosé’s debut songs both entered in the top 10 upon release (OTG and Gone).
Anyways as always it all depends in many factors, AF is performing really good right now their longest charting song on melon top 20 since Yes or Yes in 2018 so I hope this new project performs even better.
