2002-2011.
I prefer the music and ethos is those years.
In my opinion 2nd generation was the golden age for kpop.
When it was international enough that foreigners could participate, but local enough that it maintained a distinct separation in terms of ethos and identity.
I think the music and aesthetic of that period reflected an eclectic and perfect mix of Western influence and local differentiation.
It was a perfect storm.
