OTOH if you want to release music, you have to help produce it yourself. I would wait until the corona lock-down has passed before extrapolating the rest of Somi's career from one release. It's possible she just doesn't want to release her first album until she can promote it in person and do concerts. Artists make a big part of their income from concerts, much larger than in the past due to streaming killing album profits.

I don't like it, but if I was Somi I would be doing exactly what she has done: release a song occasionally to keep the fans from bailing while building up songs for an album or two for after the lock-down ends.

Yes! What You Waiting For is really good, BUT if Somi doesnt comeback regularly, she will lose the hype :<

She didn't say, but she has said before that she is working on an album and more than one song. She might not release the whole album in the summer though.
