Why Chungha lost so much in popularity ?

  • the hype she built in 2019 with "Gotta Go" and "Snapping "was completely killed by pre-release singles "Stay Tonight", "Play" and "Dream of You" that were seen as underwhelming by the gp and didn't get that much promotion. the final nail in the coffin was her full album which took waaaaay too long to be released (Querencia was released 10 months after the first pre-release "Stay Tonight") and the songs themselves weren't outstanding enough to make up for the long wait.

but by no means do i think Chungha can never go back to where she was, just like how her debut "Why Don't You Know" underperformed but the "Roller Coaster" did phenomenal,,, i think all MNH has to do is to give her a string of 2~3 comebacks on the same level as "Roller Coaster", "Gotta Go", or even "Snapping", and she'll be fine

  • well if i believe op has already made this thread before it only makes sense if I don’t repeat the discussion once again since it’s already happened, doesn’t it :clown:

and the reason i’m adamant about this is bc this ain’t the first time op has made this kind of thread (oh i know about them since their onehallyu days lol so i’ve seen a lot of their history), but now they’ve even repeated the same artist which is really a new height (low) lol, but i’m sure they’re gonna call me a liar again so whatever

But if you’re so curious about my thoughts i’ll repeat what i’ve already said on the exact same topic 🤡: her music quality took a dive and the promos don’t help, simple as that. Her holy trinity of releases (roller coaster, gotta go, snapping) were simply too good and she failed to live up to them since. For me stay tonight was good but not as good, and the rest of her korean singles after that paled in comparison. So yep

Well, I see people repeat the same thread even when barely a week has passed, so repeating a thread after 4-5+ months that was created on a forum that's been wiped inbetween, I see less harm in it 8)

But thanks for the answer :-) Personally I think it's even harder for solo artists to keep their popularity stably high, at least at the K-pop side of things (I'm not familiar with indie and non-Kpop Korean artists).

  • oh i know about them since their onehallyu days lol so i’ve seen a lot of their history

LMAOOOO WTF are you even talking about i've never been on Onehallyu '-'

damn you really enjoy lying about stuff to get some attention so stop pretending like you know things when you obviously know nothing

because the only Kpop forum i've been on were AKP and a french forum '-'

    you seem really ....
