The US is seen as the default country when talking about global impact among kpop fans. Now if there are kpop awards held in the US where the awards are decided by youtube and spotify streams; and album sales; that would make so many big fandoms happy like NCT; Stray kids; Loona; Ateez; Dreamcatcher- groups with a significant global fanbase but relatively unknown in korea and no presence in korean music charts(maybe not applicable to NCT).
it will be like kcon but as an award show. Any company who makes it happen will definitely make huge profit from it.
