nonofficial because i as a fan want to have a clear idea about what my favs' status as a group is, but obv some labels (like sm) want to keep getting whatever money they can until the last cent outta fans even if the group stopped existing
edit: i thought u were only talking abt being nugus in 3rd options but yeah it sucks too
nugus are the only examples i can think of getting just shit on for nearly the entire duration of their contract, usually the bigger labels are smarter than that.

because official disbandment hurt but then you move on
see your favs suffer, hurts yes, but at least you can watch them promote and follow them and stan them
in contrary of unnoficial disbandment where you alway have the hopes to see your favs comeback, but you always end up being disappointed by the fact that there's always rumor but no comeback
and in contrary this hurts more, because you're hurt when you learn that it was just rumor but you move on
but few months after you got hopes again, and it's once again a rumor and you're hurt again

Even an unofficial disbandment you know they're probably on to doing bigger and better things
yeah this is how i handled crayon pop never officially disbanding, i just followed their solo work and knew they were doing better
