What’s with this gate keep of girl crush? Girl crush isn’t a genre, it’s an accumulation of concept that Korea thinks will appeal to female fans. It can be sexy, sexy-cutie, hiphop, rnb, etc.

As you would know, Red Velvet has shitton of female fans, so that fundamentally disagrees with your opinion. Almost all their velvet songs have been categorized as girl crush in korea now for the longest time. And MR.MR. is oftentimes mentioned as girl crush by koreans as well.
