from what i remember if you pay someone to do something is not "taking their idea" but paying for them to work for you which is two things rlly different

SM seemingly plagiarized many small artists for aespa's debut, with the visual team using one artists work on their mood board. SM has now hired the artist they stole from to work on aespa, and it's just a funny 180. the title relates cause SM stole the artists work this story is about.

A lot of big companies steal art and ideas from others. Doesn't make it right at all, but it happens. Smaller artists don't have the legal teams big companies do.

I don't feel the interviews on the subject are very helpful either. It's very vague, and I'm not sure why. Usually these things explain a lot more. Especially with copywrite issues.
