[HOT TAKE] are kpop stans ever going to tire of calling kpop companies "money hungry" for...releasing products

it honestly almost always reads as people saying "all the people who have jobs at this company and worked on this thing including the artist don't deserve to get payed". its like...most of these companies get their main source of income from their groups. most mid tier (and even some larger companies) only have 2-3 highly active groups at a time. its just so confusing to me when certain fans see a company running their business and selling their only products, their groups, and feel the need to say the company is "greedy" or "money hungry". like, ok? they kind of need money...to run?

i feel like there are so many other valid things to critique and many i agree with but this one always rubs me the wrong way as someone who works at a large corporation. like i HOPE my company is money hungry so i can get a raise and a bonus for all the hard work i put in.

Companies still need a way to get money and pay their employees especially now during the pandemic. its just weird bc many kpop stans seem to be under the impression that the company profit just sits in the company's bank somewhere when all the money gets divided among employees, the artists, goes towards paying bills, goes towards re-investing into future projects. what is so terrible about that

I'm not sure if that's the case for other groups but that's what I refer to whenever I say JYPE is money-hungry tbh.

yes, this is definitely an issue and slightly different than what i was talking about. excessive overwork of certain artists is not ok.

omg exactly. only in kpop will you find stans losing their shit bc a company didn't make a cheaper version of a product so ~everyone~ could afford it.

true and many are not ready for the convo that their groups are only able to function because of the at bare minimum 200 people behind them. The hair stylists, makeup artists, cordis, managers, creative teams, product designers, packaging designers, choreographers, back up dancers, other company employees like accountants and schedulers. all these people need to be payed somehow.
