I am an massive environmentalist, and the matter is that Japan's Minister has had hundreds of scientists specializing in radiation testing this water before releasing it again. They have all stated the radiation levels are low enough to not cause harm anymore. Their minister understands that some people do not care if scientists believe it is safe, and only want it released when their is absolutely no radiation left in it, but he is also wanting to give displaced people back their homes. Especially those who have homes which have been passed down for over 100+ years. I understand your frustration and ideally I would prefer it be fully uncontaminated before release but it is no longer an toxic level so there is no real reason for them to keep storing it and not continue work to reopen Fukushima the rest of the way. The disaster as a whole is a tragic event, I personally am saddened at all the stores, and the massive Sega Sonic and Tails arcade we lost to the event as well as I always loved that precinct and dreamed of visiting it. But we have to be realistic in this situation as to how complicated the entire situation is. I am deeply saddened that the natural disaster has put these people in this type of dilemma.

Also on a brighter side that has restored some of my faith in humanity, big heavy weight gaming and tech companies recently invested in the area ALOT to open an new shopping center in 2017 for the area and have spent hundreds of thousands to help restore people's homes in an way that does not involve tearing them down, to decontaminate them from the radiation. As well as installing solar panels for the farmers who have lost their land because of some of the soil deep down still being contaminated in the ultra deep levels of the land.

They are slowly going to start releasing it over 2-3 years and even then not all at once but are working to release it so they can start restoring people's land near it. I think many do not realize the water is also being treated and tested by thousands of specialist scientists prior to release.

Ideally it would have no radiation before being released but levels will be low enough to not kill or intoxicate before releasing.

1. They're not dumping it all at once. It's a 30 year plan to dump VERY LOW LEVELS per year among a 30 year span

2. They will only start dumping once the levels of radiation are extremely low so that it does not cause environmental harm. I know radiation sound scary but there is radiation just from the sun alone. So the levels they are releasing should not be causing further harm then there already is from human beings.

3. This will not happen until 2 years from now as again they are doing testing to ensure that radiation levels will be low.
