personaly, the lack of support from her members is very concerning... like bruh

not ONE person twitting ot6 or smth
...if it's just an 'hiatus', why can't they reassure fans and show some support to manon?
so many fans are confused and in panic like...
this is kind an unrealistic standard.
I know I said to ignore him but

hes not lying tho. Daniela IS better trained.
although idk why hes commenting on his daughter's hips. thats pretty weird.

this is why survival shows should be banned

I disagree on this. For many trainees survival show is their only hope/chance to actually showcase themselves to the world instead of being trapped in dungeon of some small agency.
If we talk about big survivals with about 100 trainees, many times groups were bigger with lots of members, but even after this many other trainees debuted.
And then you have the ones with smaller number of trainees like I-LAND 2 which had 24 girls if I remember well and 7 of them debuted.
If you look at tripleS Yooyeon, Xinyu, Nien, Kotone, Jiwoo, and Chaewon all were in survival shows. None of them debuted through shows but they've did enough to be scouted and signed by MODHAUS.
TWICE, fromis_9, IOI, IZ*ONE, ILLIT, izna, Kep1er, UNIS, all come from survival shows.
there was also MIXNINE which by the way also had female trainees from which most known are ITZY's Ryujin, and LOONA's/ARTMS' Heejin. Also some girls became actresses and models.

Hell even Stray Kids were created through MIXNINE
No?

Sort of, but it wasn't really a survival show. IIRC, Chan had already picked the members, and the premise was that they had to convince JYP to debut them. And for drama one of them was kicked out but then returned.
But let's be real, they were gonna debut and the show was just publicity.
And similarly, I think JYP had a good idea of who he wanted in Twice and perhaps only Tzuyu was the surprise addition from Sixteen. That show had voting but it was an open farce: JYP had final say.
In both instances, though, it was in-house trainees, who had been working together for years before the shows aired.

I honestly had no clue she was in the show until this weekend
I think it's safe to say she will have a better career than the group. Her music output is very good so far, and she wouldn't be able to express herself in the group. So, it was indeed great for her to get cut from the groupI think Megan is talented, and she most likely fit the group more is why they probably went with her

It was because she was dead last in fan votes. I didn't watch it but I think Megan was a producer pick because her votes don't seem very high compared to some of the eliminated girls.

I think it's inevitable and incurable. The market is just too large and saturated for competition to not be an issue with western groups, hence why we left most of them behind by the mid 00s. Kpop groups are much more reliable long term than American pop groups, so even if an idol goes into a group aspiring to act or be solo, there's just a better understanding that the group is their first career for a set number of years and they'll eventually transition into the next thing with a significant leg up because of their company. Here, groups are just a vehicle to launch solo careers and that's just it, label favoritism doesn't always mean as much either.
Even if Katseye is being run like a kgirl group, the reality of their situation doesn't change and the girls know it.
