BTS' Arirang is a very strange title

    Korea has been cruel against BTS.


    Very, very cruel.


    So I was thinking about why BTS chose to title its concert , probably to be the last for a very long time since the members will follow their own agenda after the MHJ fiasco which has decisively undermined the authority of Hybe, "Arirang", a very Korean title which is unlikely to garner too much support in the rest of the world, especially Japan and China.


    I personally think this might be a get-out-of-jail card for Bang Sihyuk.


    As you know, BSH is in a bunch of legal problems. However, Korean courts are like magic - if there is no political will to prosecute someone, the person gets a slap in the wrist and is back in the game.


    I think this is Bang's strategy to keep jimself out of jail - do not prosecute me since I am doing this much to promote Korea around the world.

    The above is the list of albums Korea's greatest domesticist, doubling as BTS' archenemy/archrival/archnemesis, had released.


    The only titles in Korean are Spring of 20th year(actually 19/1,339), in 2012, and Flower Bookmarks, remakes of older Korean song.


    I am not aware of The Weeknd releasing an album with an Ethiopian title, or Olivia Rodrigo with a Tagalog title, etc.


    There is no reason for BTS to pander to the few remaining Korean fans, especially Korean males who voted for New Jeans and IU instead of them.


    Occam's razor tells that the only reason BTS would adopt a Korean title and a Korean concert name is to promote Korea , to impress the Korean authorities enough to keep Mr. Bang out of jail.


    Otherwise there is no reason for them to promote Korea at this stage.

    bango has been exposed as an anti korean force, specially with his shady japanese connections and obviously his anti hallyu moves, as you know only bts has the right to be successful in his sick twisted mind.


    since then, the worldwide success of other korean phenomons like kpdh have proved bts is not indispensable for hallyu, that there are alternatives, weakening bango's case and strenghteting his disposability.


    hybe in itself aims for absolute monopoly, which literally means they are a threat to the entire kpop industry because they are ruthlessly dismanteling or hijacking all the kpop agencies from the biggests to the smallests.


    i imagine the industry collectively complained about it to the governement, maybe under MHJ's leadership and inventives.


    this lead to the governement exclaiming that they will make new founds to invest and finance smaller kpop companies and defend them against the biggest ones...


    could also explain why they are going after bango as well.


    anyway, bango is in deep sht with his financial fraud case, and the majority of the industry wanting hybe to be gone or subdued did make the governement realise the negative impact of hybe/bango on korea's soft power and reputation on the financial market.


    this 'arirang' thing is a cringy, uninspired, laughable attempt by hybe to wash off their image towards the governement and gain more general public support while showing how bts is important to korean soft power.


    thing is, bts don't need that crooked scaming slob. if bts is genuinely so big, they'll be fine with or without bang and with and without even hybe!

    Taylor Swift already ended them with 3% of her full power (2% dedicated toward writing her drug-fueled recent album). It makes sense for them to retreat back to South Korea.
