I'm a little disappointed about Taeyeon's upcoming album

To explain, I completely understand why they're releasing a compilation with the greatest hits and I'm happy that she's celebrating her 10th solo anniversary this year, but I wish we got more new songs. I also understand why there's only one new song, but I just wish we could get more, haha.

I remember it was announced in the SM lineup that she'll get a full album in the last quarter of 2025, and I was so excited for all this new music from her I guess I'll have to wait till next year, cause that's been her pattern for a while.

The only thing I'm happy about is that we'll finally get the physical release of Rain! I like buying actual CDs, so I'm happy I can own it now.

I agree, I think it's good for casual listeners and also people who discovered her recently, because the albums will have a lot of her biggest hits 🙂 Perhaps I was a little disappointed, because I own all of her previous albums, so only the new track will be a new addition for me. It is good that they're doing something for her 10th anniversary, at least compared to what they did for Soshi's 10th year 🥲

Yeah, it's amazing that she's so active as a soloist and has a really fantastic discography! Not to mention the subunits. I've always loved her voice, do I'm happy she's continuing her solo career.

I agree with you on this, I wish they made it more clear, because a lot of fans thought it would be a completely new film album. I guess after what happened on SNSD's 10th anniversary, I didn't expect SMto celebrate Taeyeon's anniv. like that.

Like "If" is still her most popular song as of today but they acted like it never exists. Idk what were their direction but the way they let her lost the reputation as an "OST queen" is so.

She's has some OSTs throughout the years but nothing as popular as her early ones, so I know what you mean.

My personal favourite has always been I Love You but I know If was crazy popular and give her the OST queen title. I wonder if SM doesn't see the need to give her popular/many OSTs anymore, because she no longer needs the promotion or maybe Taeyeon herself doesn't care. The popularity of her first OSTs definitely contributed to her and SNSD's popularity and Taeyeon's position as one of the best kpop vocalists. She doesn't really need that anymore and didn't need it for quite a few years, so maybe that's why?

I agree, it's great for many people who don't listen to her music regularly. It's also a nice celebration of 10 years of her solo career I guess I just always wish for some new music for her and already owning the previous albums, I hoped for something new (plus I didn't expect this compilation). It definitely has good sides though and looks like Taeyeon is pretty happy with it too, so it's all good 😊
