What about HYBE's old mister, will he be booked?
My prediction is the Source Music group will be a lot closer to GFriend than Le Sserafim . Maybe with Iggy & Youngbae returning to pen all their songs.
For the Pledis group, you're not counting fromis_9 as a former Pledis group?
For Pledis, they were famous for being able to scout incredible visuals, Son Dambi, Nana, UEE, Kyulkyung, and having amazing dancers, Son Dambi (again) & Kahi.
But they've never really had a top girl group, and lot of their success was when working with Brave Brothers (whose sound is now incredibly dated), so I think it's a roll of the dice. They could launch anything.
Hmm... Pledis' NGG will do well, but won't be top tier because of shitty management. SouMus' NGG could be a contender for 5th Gen, but it depends on concepts and sound (Bongo is likely producing them).
Either way, LSF will start doing solos next year to not outshine the NGG AND because they aren't shifting sales like they used to (don't harp on at me about charts. It's what makes fandoms worse when people mention them, since they are bragging points. Sales matter more than charts!).
True, I guess better question is who they will be imitating

I think both groups have a chance to shake things up with 5th gen off to a real slow start. I think 2026 is when we can determine who are going to be the top groups of 5th gen. We could have a situation where one of the current top groups are similar to Itzy where they were clear because competition was weak. However, gets pushed out due to stronger competition, and management not figuring out how to maintain momentum.
I will just say 2026 is going to be a very interesting year for girl groups because a lot of uncertainties imo.

As 5th Gen will be in its 3rd year next year, it'll certainly start to show us who the leaders of the Gen really are 🙂↕️🙂↕️
One thing I think many of can agree on, it would have more fun if labels like Pledis and Source Music still was indepented labels and not part of the HYBE group. Maybe it would not be any big diffrence, but it still would feel a bit better.

SouMus would've been defunct by now. Pledis would've clung onto SVT even more so than now. Probably have debuted another flop GG...
