They had a strong 2025. They got their names out there by performing in festivals and involved in popular ads. Their song Gabrielle is performing very well, so it makes sense why they got nominated. Also, the pop duo/group category isn't always the strongest, so that did help

.While I don't understand how or why, Katseye is currently #37 on Billboard. Blackpink are... not on the chart at all.

Because they don't actually want to do anything as a group anymore and are just there to get paid? Seems like it. YG are the ones trying desperately to keep their meal ticket together, so it would benefit them to give the product as much exposure as possible. The girls, meanwhile, can get away with not caring at this point, so it makes much more sense to assume that's why nothing's happening.

Grammy is a bit of a popularity contest. Katseye have been building their name by performing at festivals and had the popular GAP ad. Gabriella also consistently stayed on the billboard hot 100 for 13 weeks and counting. I think them getting nominated for best new artist helped them get plugged into this category. I could see it being a move to pushing a girl group because it's been dormant in the American market and they most likely wanted to use Katseye to push that.
Personally, I think there are better options than Gabriella for best pop duo/group. However, I can see why they're getting this push
