D.O.’s contract with SM expired and he didn’t renew. Whereas CBX renewed their contracts then changed their mind. As they had a contract with SM, they had to pay 10% to break it. It was the same amount as the Chinese members.
The renewed contract should end soon if it hasn't yet. They usually renew for 3 years after the 10 year contracts.
SM and it's contract issues suck!
Ksoo signed to a new agency already (that has no connection to SM), him leaving CSS had nothing to do with EXO/SM; he left because I guess CSS didn't quite have the pull to enable him to do the projects he wanted to (whether it be more acting gigs or larger album distribution, bigger tours).
Now I'm worried for him again.
I love his style though. Simple and probably straightforward. It's so cool a character trait.
DO leaving his company came as a shock as it i supposed to be HIS company. But him leaving also shows he is looking for what is best for him career-wise.
Now all the shitshow unleashed around EXO and CBX really hurts. I don't know how the EXO members still under SM agreed to do this comeback without CBX, but SM is one shitty company.
