This year's music has felt like I'm stuck in second gear. Rather slow. Nothing has really got me going. I-dle has been okay; IVE (as per) has been a bit, meh; Same with Illit (expected better from their KR cb); H2H... Can SM be bothered with them? Seems they can't even do an EP for them atm; aespa... need more of a listen, but not too bad, but not on Armageddon or Whiplash-level cos. It's all been a bit... meh.

Don't get me started on summer music. Where tf was it? Where? Where?!

Anyway, smaller labels' groups are carrying me this year, compared to the Big 4, with the likes of Ifeye, Rescene, and AtHeart. People need to listen to them more.

Also it's tiredsome to hear fans rambling about charting and stuff all the time, but that is not a specific problem for just NJ, its' more a fan problem in general.

And the members are also not that likeable, Danielle also feels like a bit diva that likes being in the spotlight, but the girls have good visuals, I can give them that.

Sadly I guess they will comeback in someway, as Hybe/Ador artist or in some other forms. If they comeback as NewJeans or some other name is the queastion.

Bubble Gum was the first song I actually really loved from them (prob. a top three of 2024), and their new song sounded like it was going to blow the doors off

So on one hand, I guess I thought they were heading in a direction that was more to my taste and would like to hear more.

But on the other hand, since everybody else seems to dislike Bubble Gum and Pit Stop, those songs probably wouldn't have defined their sound going forwards.

God, I LOVE Bubble Gum. Doesn't get much attention. There was a bit of controversy over it, as it clearly samples It's Easier Said Than Done by Shakatak (despite protestations by Ador and MHJ), but it was a great song that I really love by them 🥰

Pit Stop... meh. Not my thing.
