Im pretty sure both Babymonster and ILLT has more total spotify streams that Katseye (Comparing groups that debuted around the same time). Dont even need to ask about the other top kpop girlgroups
Magnetic also has a higher Billboard Global 200 peak than any Katseye song. Drip only loses to Gabriela. I dont think Katseye is that big tbh, US is not the world and they are not even that big there

doubt it...in an era where even nugu groups are selling a couple hundred thousand albums...their 1st EP sold ~15K and their most recent 2nd EP sold ~30K. Even being based in the US and under a major label, their US fanbase ain't that big.

I don't think it's useful to use one hit wonders as an example. ILLIT are in the same basket as 50/50 at this point. They've had a taste of success, but they've shown no indication that they have a major role to play going forward.

No, they’re definitely not as big as Hybe hypes them up to be, lmao. Honestly, with the way they act, they’re gonna end up ruining it for themselves. They say and do whatever they want without a second thought, which is fine for them, I guess, but that’s exactly how controversies start. And let’s be real, most Western groups with that energy don’t last long before going their separate ways.

Katseye have some momentum and decent charting songs rn sure, but BP had this x10 along with a way bigger fandom, way bigger individual popularity, way bigger social media engagement/interest in general and bigger global reach.
Anyways it's a premature comparison, Katseye haven't done nearly enough to make me think they can be bigger than Blackpink.
