Until the middle of last year, IU was considered to be the greatest soloist of all in the history of Korean Pop, male or female, entirely due to her domination of Korean Pop and her being an equal to BTS and being ahead of BlackPink , Twice, and everyone else you could name.
However, the arrival of APT. ,although half of that was sung by Bruno Mars, put Roseanne Park, MBE, ahead of the former owner of Edam Entertainment in most eyes, although Whyknock said because of a technicality Lee Jieun was still the top soloist of KPop.
But, APT. rose to #3 in Hot 100, while Kim Eunjae, mow Eunjae Kim (English name not revealed), a US citizen, whose hit song Golden is mostly sung by herself (although two Korean-American unknowns featured in there), has reached #2 in Hot 100.
Someone who could not even debut in Korea(she was an SM trainee for 10 years), and someone IU would have given zero seconds to waste (she even ignored Ailee all these time so it is unlikely that she would have acknowledged E.Jae back then), about to reach the highest position in Pop.
Some might say because IU's achievement was over 15 years while the continued successes of these solosits are not guaranteed, IU would be the best. Maybe in 10 years, when IU would be 1.362 years old, that will be true but until both APT. and Golden are forgotten like Gangnam Style, she will become the laughing stock of the entire KPop world, and she appears to be aware of the cold fact that her days of terrorizing KPop is over hen she showed up in the Incheon Airport event, replacing New Jeans as its model,
no longer pretending to be young, dressing like a woman in her 30s, essentially giving up the fight against people like Rose and E.Jae who are beyond her reach now since she has no presence in the Hot 100.
