For REAL Vocal Groups, this is the most basic thing.

The problem is that in todays trends, Melodies and Harmonies are not that popular, because people want to listen to and make Tiktok songs that sound like a "banger".

A song like "Fairy Tale Love" would never be a trend on social media.

I mean, this is one of the most underrated song with great harmonies, but never was a trend on SNS.

I think the TikTokfication of music across the globe is hurting the quality. Like we're removing simple things like bridges and making songs 2 mins long . It's not just a kpop issue because it's happening to western pop too. There was most likely research done that discovered listeners are listening to songs for around 2 mins and move onto the next. I think that's why a lot of songs are under 2 minuntes and 30 seconds. Plus, I think shorter songs help with playlisting. This results in hearing less melodies and harmonies in songs because research probably shows people are skipping over them.

In regards to kpop they usually reserve this for b-sides, and title tracks will rarely include them these days. Title tracks that showcase vocals has a bigger chance in getting rejected. Like you will hear people use boring and other things. Take Purple Kiss recent title track for example, I thought it had great melodies, and it may have been their weakest performing title track for them
