I have a question for Sone and anyone interested in Snsd.

What is the most uncomfortable thing about Snsd to talk about?

In my experience, it's The Jessicagate. Many Sone don't want to discuss it mainly because some people assume that some if not all the 8 Snsd members contributed to it even though, if true, it was either to protect the Snsd brand that all worked super hard to build and or jealousy(!!!) because no brand can have two queens simultaneously!

Can group members sabotage each other like labels do? I find this very interesting as it's a really difficult thing for Sone to discuss!

SoneTaglist what's your take on this?

  • I don't have any uncomfortable topic about SNSD, but the Jessica one is just boring. Since she left, we talked about this millions of times, so there's no point talking about it anymore.

We still don't know anything and never will, probably.

BTW, members can sabotage each other or the group, it happened with multiple groups, AOA is another example.

True, many say that it's boring.

I believe some things are known, especially from one side, but not the whole story partly because the other side chose not to say anything.

  • I don't think that there's an uncomfortable conversation. Nothing personally involves me or someone I'm close to, so I don't really have a way to be uncomfortable.

I guess Jessicagate would be the most uncomfortable in that if you get caught in a discussion with a hardcore OT8 or OT9, you really need to skirt around unless you get pulled into a long discussion.

And I would be surprised wouldn't* if people sabotaged others. It's just business.

We don't know "nothing." We just don't have enough new information to make discussing something that happened a decade ago more worthwhile. I thought maybe the other members would start speaking up after leaving SM, but they didn't. Their silence speaks volumes IMO.

The biggest example of internal sabotage in Kpop history is still T-ara. I've always hated snakes.

And that's why I don't believe anything, basically. What we know is that Jess wanted to run her company while in the group, and SM and the investors didn't like that for obvious reason, and because of that the shit hit the fan.

I still think it's 100% BS that the members voted her out, at a company like SM Idols don't have a say, they might try to convince her, but that's the only thing I can think of.

I always thought that Jess wasn't into the Idol life anyway, it was a stepping stone for her, just like for many other Idols, but SM can't allow that when they're their biggest moneymakers.

I still think SM screwed over everyone, not the members, not even Jess. For me, this was like the beta version of HYBE vs NewJeans, it's jut SM won faster.

I said this many times, I'm 100% sure there's an NDA in their contracts, even if they leave they can't talk about this or any other thing that can cause problems for SM. Many agencies do this, not just in the music industry.

Also, even if people say something, I tend to ignore it, because I wasn't there, celebs and especially their agencies can say anything, we can't prove otherwise. It's basically like believe in Santa, almost.

In cases like this, it's hard to prove who did what and why. Unless they have footage, it's basically like telling a bedtime story.

i never thought i would agree with something David say but i have to agree with this

plus this discussion is so boring cuz each side wants to consider the other side the ennemy when i actually think that both sides had their wrongdoings and we should accept that none of them are just white or black in this story

We had so many agreements in the past, and you forget it. :emotionalpepe:

  • For me it is how disgusting some people were towards 'Sica and Tiffany for having long term relationships, some SONE will scream from the rooftops "we support them dating but just did not like their partners". Which I mean like, you can dislike them but sending the girls hate for dating people who have not done a single thing crazy, horrible or bad, is a bit odd, no?

DO NOT get me started on the hate Taeyeon got for *checks notes* being in a happy and healthy relationship as opposed to the toxic ones she has written so many songs about. :angy3:

My thoughts too and people who think like us are very few. Most are pro one side only.

  • "Sabotage" might be more common than you think in kpop.

We don't know how much sabotage inside SNSD was done by the members and how much by the company.

And the Jessicagate is still a painful memory but they have all moved on, fans might as well do the same

I can't imagine one idol sabotaging another. It'd be so cruel. Maybe it happens in groups that often break up or something.

Everyone suffered, fans too. Imagine defending someone when you are in a position where you don't know anything and can't do much.

I just hope that idols are as nice to each other as they look.

  • I don't think anybody knows the full details of what actually happened for Sicagate. and it's a open discussion.

for the past 10 years there has been countless discussions and claimed insights that have been passed around the internet for everyone and anyone who wants to take interest in this topic. the discussions has been done, it's there for everyone to see.

people are going to make their own judgements based on the information they have discovered.

and if something new comes up, people will reevaluate or reaffirm their judgement based on the new info.

I don't think it needs to be an uncomfortable conversation at this point, it's been done for over the past 10 years already lol, it's more tiresome than anything else at this point.

THIS is THE prime example of clueless people who live in their imaginary world. Just because artists use their real life experiences doesn't mean everything happened to them.

This is why so many people can't imagine 2 actors doing a kiss or even an adult scene together and don't fall in love. Like, it's their job, and 100 people watching them while doing it.

    Delulu level 9000. 😂

  • LMFAO Taeyeon mentioned the entire TO X project being about her own experiences. As well as the newest project, those are what I am referring to. That and the people throwing tantrums back when she was in a good situation, which she ended due to "fans" having meltdowns and sending threats. If you are thinking of INVU that project was the one she just really liked and recorded.

Okay but hear me out. Fans do not lose anything by an artist they listening to, having a life. There is no reason people should be going insane because someone is just dating someone and having a life outside of work. If you are that parasocial, then you need to rethink things on an strong internal level within yourself, not get mad and threaten people for having their own life.
