Who is the BTS and the BLACKPINK of 4th gen

Let's just get it out of the way that SKZ is the third biggest group in kpop right now metric wise (just surpassed twice I think) and they're way way way down. /End thread.

Fuck only 4th gen, this goes for 3rd and 5th gen too lol!

Some boy groups do well with digitals, others do well in sales, and others do well in touring. But none can do all 3 at the same time like BTS did for multiple years in a row.

2023 NewJeans outperformed 2020 BLACKPINK in sales and Korean digitals, and were 2nd to BP on Spotify in 2023. Besides that example, no girl groups are capable of matching BP in all areas. And that's without mentioning touring.

BTS is BTS

BP is BP

every group is their own identity (except for maybe Illit since apparently they are NJ 2.0!!!)

jokes aside if the question is which groups in the 4th have come closest to matching BTS and BP's level of success then SKZ and NJZ?

Please..kpop is still living in the shadows of 3rd gen’s supremacy.. charting-wise even BTS’ solo AND BP’s solo are higher than any existing kpop groups now..
