I wish Blinks never made Coachella the most important thing in kpop for the western market I feel a lot of the negativity about performances is usually about blinks comparing other performances to Pinkchella

As for viewers. People still cannot get the difference between views and viewers. I don't know where 400k number is from but often people write articles cush as "26m people watched hobi sleep". No, that wasn't viewers, but views. Eurovision has 150m viewers and the whole Europe minus Russia + Australia is watching it. Views =/= viewers. That's also hybe's fault, they don't want to use viewers instead of views. People got used to views.

Such a wrong take.

Blinks don't have the impact to make Coachella this impactful. It's bc BP slayed so hard that it indeed opened the door for kpop there and it made them National Pride, something SK still brings up when talking about a true kpop representation ww then companies wanted that moment for their groups too.

And it's not blinks fault when others start dragging BP as if they were the only group there and acting like their faves did better, etc.

I hate when fans of certain groups undermine success of other groups. it's a big achievement performing at one of the biggest american festivals. Yes, some artists will attract more audiences than others and that's fine. (i don't have to check the numbers, I'm sure more people went to lady gaga than to the prodigy (the lack of taste )). It's wonderful that their fans had the opportunity to watch their faves live and have a good time

I watched their set, it was awesome. Live vocals and lots of energy. Jay and ni-ki killed it.

It's sad that dragging people makes some people happy.

Everyone can make up stuff and spread as truth. My country is currently going through serious protests. Yesterday it was a pro-gov protest with 55k attendee max. The government said it was 145k (yeah, right).

26m did watch him sleep but it was views, not viewers. Hybe knows what it's doing, they inflate views too lol. Every time you close and re-enter a stream it counts as a view. Cowards don't want to implement live viewers like YouTube because it looks better 1m than 60k, or whatever the number.

That's fair. They did a good job when they performed. Blackpink did set the trend of performing at the festival because I can't recall a group performing prior to Pinkchella.

Unsure if it's my algorithm but every time there's a coachella performance. I see blinks on twitter putting down others performing at the event. Kpop fans can be petty which is why I see some are throwing shade at the Blackpink soloist performing this weekend.

Yep, they slayed and became the most memorable kpop act there.

While I agree some blinks are petty, it's also real that the moment a k act is announced there their stans will compare them to BP which obviously will lead to fanwars. In Lisa case specially +90% of the fandom was avoiding fanwars and focusing 1000% on her, just after all this En mess that blinks started being shade.

And by Hybe doc we can say they are pretty much obsessed to recreate a BP impact in Coachella with their own acts. The fact that the boys said that in their live is a proof strong enough to see Hybe obsession with this feat. They can try all they want though, Pinkchella is just that iconic.

With the strategy of enhyphen and hybe, i think jennie stan can claim they got 800k live viewership today and surpass beyonce.
