A lot broke ass companies filed for bankruptcy even if there was no need for it. In early 2020 many company said they disbanded their acts due to no way of seeing how to make income and it was so weird like for example boygroup Spectrum just disbanded out of nowhere just cause their agency was thinking they won't be able to make money. The member openly said they felt mad and confused when they got told to go disband but they couldn't do anything against their agency's decission and the company wasn't even broke, yet the company said at that time they felt they could go broke with this boygroup

Honestly, I don’t think the K-pop scene would’ve been that different if Corona hadn’t happened. A lot of companies, even smaller ones, adapted pretty quickly. They still found ways to connect with fans..online concerts, exclusive merch, their own variety shows, and regular behind-the-scenes content. It actually pushed some to be more creative. The ones that didn’t even try and just let their groups go quiet? That’s on them. It’s sad for the idols, sure, but as someone who follows a lot of groups, it was really obvious which companies were putting in the effort and which ones weren’t.
