Retro mode is great (better than dark mode) if you want old AKP

For those of you who are finding it difficult to get used to the layout, I recommend giving retro mode a chance. In terms of design, it's the closest mode to old AKP.

The colors work together better than dark mode in my opinion. Easier to read.

I agree with the background. I don't like that background either; it looks messy and out of place. In terms of font and layout (with the navigation/info bar on top), it looks like it's the closest to old AKP.

Overall, I like the look of light mode the most, but it could sure benefit from a bigger font size. You can always adjust the font size from your browser's settings, though. Give that a try.
