Exclusive] Blackpink Jisoo, Solo Comeback in February... 2 Years After 'Flower' Syndrome
[OSEN=Jang Woo-young] Group BLACKPINK member Jisoo is making a comeback.
According to OSEN on the 10th, BLACKPINK Jisoo is preparing for a comeback targeting February. Regarding this, Jisoo's side told OSEN, "It's difficult to confirm." Jisoo's solo comeback will be about two years since her first single 'ME' released in 2023. Jisoo, who promoted with the title song 'Flower', received much love by creating a syndrome such as the 'Flower Challenge' and proved her popularity by winning 9 music shows. Expectations are high for Jisoo's solo comeback as it will be the last among the BLACKPINK members. Jennie previously released a solo single 'Mantra' in October of last year, and Lisa released the single 'Rockstar' in June of last year. Rosé released her first full-length album 'rosie' on the 6th of last month. Before her solo comeback, Jisoo will meet fans as 'actress' Jisoo. She will be appearing as 'Yeong-ju' in the Coupang Play series 'Newtopia', which will be released on February 7th. 'Newtopia' is a story about late-blooming soldier Jae-yoon (Park Jung-min) and the bold bear spirit Yeong-ju running towards each other through the zombie-attacked downtown Seoul. It is a K-zombie comedy with a good sense and visuals that is highly anticipated by director Yoon Sung-hyun of the movies 'The Watchman' and 'Time to Hunt'. Ji-soo's return to acting will be her first since JTBC's 'Snowdrop' in about 3 years. Ji-soo, who previously made special appearances in 'Producer' and 'Arthdal Chronicles', proved her potential with her passionate performance as Eun-young-ro in 'Snowdrop'. After 'Newtopia', she will continue her acting career by appearing in the new MBC drama 'Monthly Boyfriend' and the movie 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint'. Ji-soo is also planning to make a solo comeback, return to acting, and be active as a full group of BLACKPINK. YG Entertainment's executive producer Yang Hyun-suk had already announced Blackpink's comeback and new world tour this year.
