More likely some deal fell down about the stages, and that led to Illit to go to that event since events like that, not held in Seoul, does not get to invite more famous acts . Usually the players themselves organize the shows. Illit just took whatever event was open on that day.
I think Illit showing up there would probably have made aespa upset, given what Bang had bleated before, and that event was an aespa event so it was better for both acts that they didn't get to see each other on that day.
