I've believed this for the longest time. The best ballads in K-pop, especially the most beloved ones, tend to have very limited English lyrics. The English lyrics are used to highlight the message and theme of the song instead of being there to fit a rhyme scheme or sound cool. The writer intentionally chooses the English lines as "highlights" of the song.
Examples:
"Spring Day" - BTS
"Either Way" - IVE
"Loser" - BIGBANG
