My current setup is
7.75 Toy Machine deck
53 mm spitfire wheels (I officially graduated from 52’s after my last board came w/ 53s, it was a Real complete.. and now I got used to them bahaha )
Reds bearings
Jessup grip
Thunder trucks
And the hardware is just independent and some iridescent stuff from my local shop which is pretty cool
So far the toy machine has been my favorite deck
Most likely my to-go for the future.. we’ll see..

I do not much anymore due to my muscular disease but I still have my long board.
Ten Toes Zed Bamboo Longboard Skateboard Cruiser 44"; Color: Aqua Pipeline
With 78A LED Light Cruiser Wheels & ABEC-9 608ZZ Bearings
Ooh nice, I’ve been wanting to get a longboard, have u tried regular skating?? How does it compare?
**I completely understand not skating as much, I just recently started back after taking a break for a while, I have connective tissue probs

i tried, didn't work out but i am looking for a beginner friendly skateboard
I feel u, when got my first board, it took a little whilee till I finally got the hang of just cruising correctly, it’s definitely a process to get the hang of it, but once you do it’s the best, the hardest for me was just learning how to push and take my foot off the ground.
Worth it though.
Honestly any board is beginner-friendly, it’s more so up to your size ( 7 - 7.5 inch boards are typically easier for people with smaller builds/shoe sizes vs 8- and higher are typically easier bigger people/ people with bigger shoe sizes) honestly though it’s up to personal preference tbh, I know tiny people who skate 8s and up and bigger guys who skate 7.75 lol)
Here’s a more in depth explanation
https://www.tactics.com/info/s…%E2%80%93%208.25%20inches).
**same with wheels, it depends, if you are wanting to learn more street stuff, the smaller wheels are the best, if ur looking more so for a mode of transportation/cruiser, bigger wheels make it easier to get over rough surfaces**
Another guide:
Looking for the Best Skateboard Wheel? | Tactics
Most completes come with 52s (best for street skating) default.
As for brands:
Any major skateboard brand/anything you’d find in in a skate shop should be good. I’d stay away from the Walmart boards though
(They have plastic wheels and trucks, bad bearings ect)
If you’re on a budget, I’d suggest looking for completes that are on sale, sometimes they can go for as low as 30-40 smth
Or even Amazon has some alright ones
** My first board was an Amazon board ( it was called krown) it worked alright but the trucks weren’t good quality (they weren’t even typical skate trucks and broke pretty quickly)
But it’s what I learned on and it served its purpose, it’s a great introduction. You do have take it w/ a grain of salt though, ur not getting the full experience, I tried to tighten the trucks on my Amazon board and since they weren’t standard skate trucks, my skate tool wouldn’t work)and the trucks wouldn’t go back on.. and I couldn’t use it anymore)
After that I got my first higher quality board *a complete by a brand called Real, I got it while it was on sale for like 60 something* a little investment, but it lasted a long time, that was years ago, and it still works fine.
So for a beginner/ not sure if you really wanna stick with it they are good but if you are wanting to stick with it I’d really recommend a little higher quality one.
Any board from well known brands like Santa Cruz, Real, almost, baker, etc are all good 👍
My personal favorites at the moment are toy machine boards

So long boards are a little harder and take a bit more control to direct but also have more space so you do not fall off as easy

It's not much of a set up 😅, but I have only started getting back into it in the second half of the year, I used to skate growing up, unfortunately my dad says he can't find the black classic skateboard I grew up with so he was going to help me get a replacement.
I can't do it right now since I'm recovering from previously being sick and surgery, and can't skate, rock climb or work out for another 5 weeks (getting close to the end though...), and I'm really antsy to go out and start again. But I like to go and just take pictures of skateparks to in the mean time.

Cool~
I’ve been wanting to try a penny board as well..
A similar thing happened to me
I remember when I was younger we had this really cool board it was like a cruiser pretty sure, I think it was autographed too.
Since we were kids we didn’t really care and would play with it all the time.. it must’ve gotten lost or thrown away tho at some point..
I wish we had it tho or at least if I could remember the name of the board.. but sadly I cant
Oh well
lol you just reminded me, I need to get my belaying license, I was on a rock climbing team, but since I moved I haven’t even found a place to climb yet… I know there’s a couple but I haven’t had time
I hope you recover soon 💓💓,
Ik after a while not doing anything gets old

Thank you!
To be honest I really love the colour green and thought I just had to get it lol. I live near a couple skate parks and shops so hopefully I can come across a similar board very soon
