I think there is plenty of kdramas that changed history or characters like rooftop prince but when all stays in relation to SK no one cares.. add NK and China to the mix and you’ll have problems.. maybe bc sk relationship with nk And China is still bad the history is not just history it’s still connected to their present relationships

Yup but we know that the main lead is an escaped prisoner of North Korea's political prison camp. And if they don't do it well (by not glorifying North Koreans) then it can get them hate.
they are getting a lot of hate right now already for painting NK in a negative light even slightly possibly which I do not completely understand. However I am very anti dictator so maybe I am unable to understand the outrage but yes they are touching on hard to manage subject matter
