VMA's Kpop Nominations!

    Anyone who take VMA seriously is mad! What are these noms, I mean, seriously? I won't say anything else, because I don't want to argue with anyone, but this is the prime example why ARTISTS don't take MTV seriously anymore.

    This clearly explains why Kpop category was created. They don't want any Korean artists in main categories because what is Seven doing on that list.


    Whoever goes and performs on VMA stage will take the give-away award.

    The song is neither korean, nor sang by a korean or released by a korean company. There's literally 0 association with K-pop AT ALL. It's a pop song by a thai singer. It's just weird how they throw every asian in K-pop.

    you got a point there...completely English song released by a Thai singer from a Thai label in conjunction with a US label solely targeted for the western market.

    Neither of my faves could be nominated, because VMA is all about ATTENDANCE, not about which song is the best.


    I wouldn't nominate most of my faves for any Award this year, because I'm always fair, and not biased. The ONLY fave of mine who actually deserve a nomination so far is: IU - Love Wins All.


    I'm not sure about MTV's tracking period, but if Taeyeon's To X could be nominated, that's the other song that deserve it.


    My point here was that these Kpop nominations are ridiculous! It's all about who's more popular, also I'm pretty sure MTV is 100% fan voting! This is why the industry don't take Kpop seriously. No one promotes or give Awards to the best. These nominations are the face of Kpop, basically, and it's not a cute face, at all!😅


    I mean, I don't want to offend anyone, but for example: Lisa's 4 nominations. How did that happen? I could accept ONE, but not 4!


    Best Kpop: It's not even Kpop!
    Best Choreo: The laziest choreo from her! Her own fans said this!
    Best Editing: The editing was good, but nowhere near as good as Love Wins All.
    Art Direction: ART? There was no direction, let alone art direction.


    IU's Love Wins All is better in ANY category than ANY of these nominations!, not just Lisa! To be fair Love Wins All should win an Oscar, not a VMA.😂

    I don't expect much from VMAs. Would have love for SNTY to get nominations.


    All I can say is that those supposed OT7s showed their true color after Jungkook's success. They shade him and treat him like a competition.

    The VMAs haven't been relevant in literal decades. I keep forgetting Mtv still exists. This is on par with winning any other, random poll voted on by fans.

    Yeah...... it's strange that Lisa's song was added.

    Someone in the VMA crew didn't do their KPOP homework.
