Do you think Yulhee is being judged unfairly for not getting the custody of her 3 kids?

Yes.
She's "abandoning" her kids for simply putting them first and in the care of the parent best fit to take care of them, which is how custody should work instead of dumping it onto the mother by default.
If she would have taken custody, it's no big deal but the father doing it makes him a saint, which speaks a lot to how minimal the expectations are on fathers compared to mothers

don't know about other sites but the comments on her latest video on youtube seem to be supportive

Nice, it does not always have to be the mother.

If it is in the children’s best interest and their preference to stay w/father and his family, I don’t see how she is to blame - especially since that is where they have always been. She is acknowledging this fact - it doesn’t mean that she doesn’t love her kids etc.
This is like what Cnetizens still do to actress Yang Mi for allowing her daughter to stay w/ father and his parents since she was raised there since birth. They called her a bad mother but she didn’t want to disrupt her kid’s life while she was also super busy working.
Toxic relationships or fake staying together for the sake of the kids is more traumatizing in reality.
