[BTS CONTENT] According to Google, BTS is the most searched male group of all time in the last 25 years of Google Search history!!

  • Go argue with Google, we didn't make it up, Google revealed it. :pepe-shrug:

EDIT: If you want to post your objection letter, that'd be entertaining.

Well I said I don't doubt they are the must searched boyband, but the letters BTS can mean other things and if you only Google BTS they can't now if the are searching for the group BTS or someting else. If you don't add BTS + something else.

As I said, please put this is a protest letter and forward it to Google. If they concede because they mindlessly publish these stats without realizing that BTS may stand for other things, think how happy you'll be to be right about BTS? And you'll have schooled Google that they need to be sure to watch for these things. Like IVE may be be I've! And their stats on Twice are totally invalid too.

they actually can. This is on Google trends.... as you can see they have a way to seperate bts as search term and BTS the as specified here "boy band" .Thus i'm guessing the claim from you know Google themselves is likely that looking at all search for groups that are specified as boy bands (as seen below)... they were the most searched

Assuming its based on their own trends analytics tool, there are definitly false categorizations made by it, even if its a pretty amazing system it still automated and there will be errors and there have been a number of changes to how it works over the years

Looking at google trends, the result looks like this for BTS (the artist, going back to 2004 which is the earliest public available date)

I'd assume for them to release stuff like this in video they have gone throu the top results manually and in bts case the most trivial thing would be to filter out years before they debuted.

Either way, i have no doubts that they are the most searched boygroup/band and looking at the graph its clear that any false hits would do little to dent their trend score.

More annoyed than angry? You saw this thread and decided you needed to come put a damper on it why? You sound like a spoiled sport sputtering BUT BUT BUT.

Like I said, if you want to do something about it, talk to Google - the ones who announced this. They know their results and are better equipped to actually talk about the facts of the situation with you. Otherwise you're just hollering.

Yes, well as I said I don't doubt it either, but as you also can sell people searched for "BTS" before they even debuted, meaning that search was for something else. You don't see that same for 2NE1. If you compare the search for BTS and 2NE1 can can see that the search for BTS was higher before BTS was a group than 2NE1 ever have. So some "noice" is in the statics, even if not much.
