The 2024 IU-NewJeans Battle will be now unavoidable

Kim Taehyung showing up in Lee Jieun's Music Video is a watershed event.

I personally think he will at least sing a couple of lines there.

Min Heejin probably thought she had Taehyung in the bag, and I am sure a lot of people talked a lot about this before he decided to show up in the music video of the Former Owner of Edam Entertainment.

It is unlikely that IU's album and New Jeans' album will collide, but since I'll It will debut in January, it is likely thta NJ won't make its comeback till late March or early April.

And it looks likely that Lee Jieun will at least release a lead single by no later than mid-February.

So Lee Jieun already has the initiative.

Rollin owned Korea in early 2021 but could not beat the head start Celebrity had built.

Other acts might have higher fame outside of Korea, but for fighting inside there, IU has no equals.

It is likely that IU will strike with several singles, to counter New Jeans' forces.

Min Heejin will have to think very, very hard to beat the 1,345 years old next year, since if NewJeans is seen conquering the world but still shown to be losing in Korea, it will not be in an advantageous condition to deal with BTS ub the 2nd half of 2025.
