Have you been to Korea longer then 1 month? (It is Kpop Related)

Well, I've been there two days short of 1 month

I can speak upper intermediate Korean and have been there twice and I still don't think my opinion qualifies. I think only Koreans or non-Koreans who currently live there, have lived there for a long period or know a lot of people who do and maintain contact with them have enough knowledge on what is or isn't popular over there.

All of that doesn't mean that the opinion of a Korean who lives in Korea is free of bias. I think a lot of international kpop stans take Koreans' stances (or "knetz") as the ultimate truth just because of their nationality and geographical proximity. Similarly, some other ifans have the annoying tendency to write essays on a group's popularity in Korea when they have never stepped foot in the country nor know anyone from there. As an ifan, you can have an idea of popularity levels if you study the numbers and stats, ofc, but that is a purely analytic approach.

TLDR; there are a lot of overly conceited kpop stans reluctant to admit they don't have enough knowledge on specific subjects

only actual koreans or non koreans residing there can have legitimate comments about sk matters.
