    Why wouldn't Yoona re-sign? Her career was set since before debuting as Snsd. She was already a model and actress. And after debut, SM still let her do that to today. Unlike other members like Seohyun whose acting roles in a number of some of Koreas best movies of all time were rejected by SM after she got the roles, Yoona has always had the liberty to even skip Snsd events to do her solo business. She's always in the top 5 idol models and actresses in Korea, Asia and Globally. SM has done the best for her so she'd be dumb to leave.


    Also;


    1. Money. SM offers them good career opportunities where even with the most incompetent promotions, they still make a lot compared to what nugu labels will help them make. No idol can re-sign these many times without making good money. Yuri and Hyoyeon have bought real estate in Snsd's hiatus which means even the least popular members make big bank.


    2. Senior idol respect. SM has a way of respecting their senior idols compared to other labels'. They get to debut solo and do other things for example, many JYP and YG senior idols can't relate. Idk why Taeyeon is given the most shitty treatment. The rest look comfy and happy and don't complain and get busy whenever they want. Even BoA.


    3. In SM, they are gems out of SM, they'll be like any other idol. The hustle of Tiffany, Seohyun and Sooyoung was obvious after they left. Tiffany only signed an exclusive contract 6 years after leaving SM. SM is shitty but it's home to them, leaving means a new start with everything and new starts aren't easy at all.


    4. Hyoyeon has found a new cool career and SM is helping her do it. I don't see her doing better elsewhere. Yuri is an actress and chef. If SM is helping her do that then why leave?
