Is it me or is homophobia becoming more normalized again?

To be honest, even within the community there is a lot of ill will between LGB and the T, as they hold some conflicting ideas.

I think conservatives are genuinely relieved when somebody's merely gay these days.

I have no problem with pride month, but I have to say corporate activism is just annoying. Like they jump on this bandwagon every June and try to milk the shit out of it and it rubs me the wrong way. I remember I was checking my bank account on my phone and as soon as I opened the app I got this popup like “we celebrate your true authentic self”…*eye roll* even as a bi guy I can understand why people are getting tired of this lol.

That's just capitalism. They already sucked all the culture and essence out of every holiday in my country so they could market us greeting cards, chocolates and flowers.

I'm not even going to get started on how they commercialized western weddings. An Ad campaign in the 1930s created the whole culture of proposing with diamond rings before that people just did plain iron bands or if they had more money silver or gold, but with no precious stones.

I just think the conservative outrage is getting stupid. And this is coming from someone like me who thinks some of the leftist stuff is just loony bin material (like cultural appropriation nonsense, policing what you can say, cancel culture in general, etc).

Pride Month is harmless.

I hope not as my daughter is gay and I couldn't be prouder.
