Is Niziu Jpop or Kpop?

they're a 4th gen jype group, thats operates like a kpop group(staff is korean even) live in korea, train in korea, all songs are written in korea, but release all japanese songs.

when applying for the show, all contestants were asked why they wanted to be kpop idols

I'd say they're a k-pop group who sings in Japanese. Yes, all the girls are Japanese. Yes, they primary target is the Japanese market (I think). Yet, everyone in charge of the music behind the scenes is Korean, they're under a Korean company and operate as any other k-pop group.

I think they are JPop because JYP called it the "Japanese gg project" and they only produce JP songs (?) as far as my knowledge. I would consider them a JPOP group and they mainly market in Japan.
