What this show about

i watched two eps so im not sure i know myself

basically there's a guy who's super unlucky and basically sucks at everything but he's friendly so people like him

this girl is his gf and she's super good at everything, almost superhuman and she saves his ass all the time and he's like "wow you so awesome i feel bad" and his friends are like "how did you land this chick"

i might read the manga instead though because the art is godly and the thing that annoyed me the most in the anime was the guy's whiny ass voice

too much romance anime or action anime have whiny characters, I tried rewatching Black Clover the other day because I used to love it a lot in grade 8 and then I heard the main characters whiny stupid voice and I closed the tab. Shame Black Clover is a good show aside from shameful Asta the main character. I will watch this show Shikimori and see if he is real annoying guy like you say because I hate that voice acting.

i dont like romance anime either

there's exceptionally good ones like Kimi no na wa that transcend everything but yeah action/adventure/philosophical/scifi stuff is definitely the sweet spot for me

but then i did have a huge thing for maid sama when i was a kid so i always check out a few if i like the art, in the hope that i'll find a gem

like bunny girl senpai is an absolute gem i was never expecting

yeah

its very unfortunate maid sama isnt that popular among new audiences

but classics like maid sama, k-on, haruhi from that period inspired a ton of slice of life anime today
