    I was recently at the theatre to watch GoTG vol 3 and saw the trailer for this film - looks great btw - and they also promoted the Thai singer who was playing Ariel for the dub version and she was terrible because she tried to sing a part of the song live and was totally off. Most people here will watch it in English with Thai subs anyways but there are some that still want the Thai dub version for the kids that haven’t learned English. Yikes.

    Point still stands, as you know. She obviously doesn’t deserve any of the hate. It’s very misplaced and it seems like people just wanted a reason to hate on her. I feel like they’ve been waiting for this to happen so they could have an excuse to hate.

    I haven't heard the full version, but her vocals sound passable here.


    I think if Koreans have a big issue with her pronunciation, I think they should have just had her be Ariel's singing voice, or do how Disney did with Mulan and Reflections back in the day. The voice actress sang it for the movie, and then Christina Aguilera sang the promotional release of the song.


    Both sounded great. I think that would have been smarter and afforded Danielle less hate rather than giving her such a high stakes role as a rookie.
