I like the meaning of the song: Abandoning your former self to become more successful in life and feeling nostalgic about the pure person you used to be.
The use of figurative language in the lyrics could've been more developed though.

It grew on me between listens too, I realized 'I worked my whole LIFE... ' was invading my brainwaves even when I was zoning out

Spoiler since this is about personal lyric interpretation and not the auditory aspects of the song:
I'm assuming you are referring to the second part of my post. I think I used the wrong word. I should've used "consistent" instead of "developed." For example, the use of the words "ground" and "high" paired with the phrase "what goes up must come down." The song is trying to say that what is "on the ground" is all that she needs, placing a positive value on the word "ground." However, the phrase "what goes up must come down" gives whatever is not "up" a negative connotation. It causes a disconnect in the message. Just my opinion. Non-specific lyrics can hold different meanings to different listeners.

I think most blackpink songs are like that
For me DDDD and Kill this love were instantly a bop.

What fans never realize... almost EVERY song you hear repeatedly becomes either a grower (or annoying). You just don’t give others the chance like you do with your faves.
So it just means, if the song isn’t from your faves, you wouldn’t like it (after first listen) and then won’t listen to it ever again... ^
