Both BP and Twice haven’t sold out stadiums so why are Blinks and Onces fighting?

  • actually blackpink sold out concerts in mexico and france very quickly, only a few minutes. Both had 70K+ tickets. I think america stadiums is just harder

didn't the twt account of stade de france tweet that it wasn't? i remember them correcting someone that said it was sold out

anyway, you're probably right. stadiums in america are indeed hard. even western acts struggle with selling out stadiums & despite what it seems, kpop is still a niche.

It’s not sold out. I saw a thread yesterday mentioning this. So I actually went to the Stade de France’s website and there were still tickets for category 2 and 3 available.

At this point, it seems a lot of Kpop groups have a bigger fandom of hardcore fans than most Western artists.

Kpop fans tend to be hellbent on getting tickets for their faves, while 'popular' Western songs might just be songs people hear on the radio or Spotify playlists a lot, but they don't care enough about the artist to buy tickets.

Of course there are some Western artists that are exceptions to this, but it's fewer that can sell out stadiums than we might think.

Yes, it’s something that was discussed in another thread about charts. The difference between passive and active listening. Passive listeners don’t buy concert tickets. That’s why you have artists charting high on the hot 100 who cannot tour in bigger venues. They can cheat with Spotify and Radio but touring doesn’t lie.

please kpop is still far from western artists. Taylor Swift tour alone is bigger than all of Kpop tours combined. Taylor even has cities changing its name to honor her tour, when will any Kpop act achieve that?
