Has any Kpop group released a box-set or remaster of any of their albums?

  • I see legacy western acts release 20th anniversary version of their albums with demos, outtakes, alternate versions, different tales (if they are a BAND) etc

I haven’t came across any K-pop group who has done that. Except for Mamamoo and BTS, I haven’t seen anyone else do that. If I’m missing anyone, do recommend!!!

Also, it’s interesting to hear different versions, remixes of the songs.

You know what, I personally would love it if EXO released box sets and stuff like that for their older albums and even unreleased demos and songs.

    I love Pikachu.

    Always have, Always will.

  • SHINee did a box set but for Japanese albums

UMJ does their job alot better than SM

  • I think we've reached such a high quality in recording that remasters don't make sense anymore

yeah i rarely see remasters of any albums that aren't like 20+ years old

i have seen bands do it if their initial recording got botched for whatever reason and didn't come out the way they wanted, but that is rare too

  • BTS's Proof - the 3rd Disc - was full of demos and some unreleased tracks. What surprised me was how different the demos were from the final songs.

    Example:

    DNA Demo - J-Hope Version

The collector's edition of Proof was literally a giant size with a huge book that various stories, notes, and photos from BTS's history to-date (4:46 mark for the book) etc.
