Is y2k some new buzz word that's going as trend in mouths of kpop stans? I see everyone saying y2k everywhere?

  • Yes, I guess it's a new slang and I am getting a brain problem from it too. If you look up "y2k" and Author: help1 in the forums search bar, you will see me talking about it.

I haven't liked these weird names people have for aesthetics like (something)core for a while. What if we rather change it back to (something)-chic, like boho-chic. Cottagecore -> cottage-chic. Trashcore -> trash-chic. Dark academia -> library-chic. Or something. I guess chic puts too much emphasis on the fashion aspect though when people make it a lifestyle (e.g. they have decorations too)

  • Yeah. Y2K is another buzzword Twitter has adopted unfortunately.

Whenever there's a trend of popular words, the Internet will take it by storm, usually destroying the entire meaning.

As a Black person, you can imagine how tired we are. 🙄

  • Yeah

Kpop fans, and just people in general since the fashion and the aesthetic of the 2000's made a comeback in recent year, everybody just labeled it as Y2K when Y2K and 2000's fashion are a complete different thing

and Y2K is just one of the multiple fashion trend and aesthetic that appear in the 2000's

it's giving me the same vibes than when i see english speaking people using a french world and giving to the word a complete meaning than its real meaning
