Are you excited for RV's concert?

  • This will be their first concert IN 4 YEARS. Admittedly, these last 4 years weren't their strongest musically compared to their golden age of red songs in their early years and velvet songs in their middle years as a group. It will also likely be their last true big show before they go their separate ways as their 2 year contract extension ends this year, but they will tour various countries after this.

  • No replies? I guess Revuluvs are extinct.

I have no idea how you profess to know the terms of their contract, much less their future prospects, when them re-signing with SM was never even announced in the first place. You're obviously not excited for their concert, you just wanted to be negative.

It's being realistic. The general consensus is that is that all SM idols who debuted after 2009 have a year contract with 2-3 year automatic extension. With Kakao in control of SM now it could be different. Obviously there's no reason for SM to continue staying with SM as they haven't given her any work, and she's old enough to start enjoying life more freely.

Automatic extensions to the original 7 year contract are illegal under the same terms that disallow contracts longer than that in the first place. They would have needed to extend their contracts voluntarily, and even then, extensions are usually 3 years, not 2. You obviously didn't research this too thoroughly. And that's before even addressing the assumption they'll want to disband whenever their current contracts expire.

SM already left SM, and SM isn't even a her.

Do you honestly think SM or idol agencies care about strictly following the law and being fair to their idols. If they don’t pre-sign an extension and keep hush, they don’t get to debut, simple as that.

If they want to stay in business and out of jail, yes, they do care about following the law.

  • It's amazing how the OP has kept up the lowkey shading in more than 95% of his Red Velvet's posts for as long as Red Velvet have existed. Even in seemingly neutral or praise posts of the OP, you'll find some parts of RV shading or trashtalking, followd up by even more RV/SM/fan bashing as discussions progress :/

As for the concert, RV's former concerts were always entertaining to watch, so hopefully there'll be some solid recordings of this next concert too, they've really grown as artists and performers and I'd love to see that showcased in their upcoming concerts.
