Dont they all resemble each other or I'm seeing things?

  • No I think you dont understand, she doesnt have Argentinian blood roots only english and spanish which are both european, so that makes her white. she just happened to live in Argentina as a kid and went back to London where most of her family lives as a teenager. She wasnt even born in Argentina but US.

Just bc someone lives in Latin America doesnt make them latin. Even Mia Goth who actually has brazilian roots is considered white.

Latino/a is not an racial distinction, it's just to denote someone is from Latin America. So a lot of white people are latinos/latinas. What they are not is people of colour. Latino/a doesn't automatically mean POC, even though this is often mistakenly used as a synonym.

dunno about her case in particular, or if she's latina, but there's plenty of white latinas and latinos. Also black latinas and latinos, who are also descendants of immigrants, just from non-white countries.

yes I understand lol but that happens a lot with Latinos though ( my family included) but as far as I know her dad was born and raised in Argentina . Also no such thing as Argentinean blood when majority of Argentinean are from European descent that's what I was trying to explain. She considered herself Argentinean American + she was born in Miami which is city where like 90% of population are hispanics.

Thats literally what I said  i replied to someone saying shes white bc they addressed the other two with their respective races and for anya they just said shes argetinian

I think u mixed bc even though shes white and lived in argentina, shes not a white latin, if you cared to see what i said before you'd understand better instead of lecturing me, with all respect

I think the main misunderstanding here is that u addressed the other two with their respective races and called anya argentinian, when thats not a race, shes still white. Thats all

because I wanted to emphasize she is Argentinean . well I did called Karina Korean ( her nationality) only one of them I called African American. I guess I should have called her American but Anya is technically American since she was born in Miami I didn't want to make it confusing. I didn't think this was gonna be a big deal lol and latino is still an ethnicity

Oh I get it, you are right about that. But about her ethnicity I dont consider Anya latin bc she doesnt have latin roots and only lived here for a short period. She still is direct descendant of europeans and her main culture still is european/american. Shes more euro white than white latin, so I think we should consider her white instead of just argentinian just bc she knows their culture and speak spanish.

Anyway, its not a big deal lol we are arguing about something pretty silly. My opinion just happen to differ from yours for reasons above.
