That is likely to happen. I hope all those idols break free.

Legal landscape of kpop is changing
Courts are siding more and more on side of trademarks belonging to artists over their company. Specially if the artist has promoted under the name for more than 10 years.
If SM can't get it's shit together, they are gonna lose tvxq, suju, shinee and exo. Those teams will stay together.
I'd like to see SM shareholders faces when 4 dome tours walk away. They make their money then.
Kwangya for me
you forgot Queen Kakao
She isn't that appealing to me yet 😆

If only that could happen. And if those groups try, they can leave together and do their own thing.
I just don't want the idols to carry anyone's cross when they are not responsible for the SM executives' mistakes.
Kwangya for me
I knew it ![]()
SM has only one new group, Aespa. GOT is made of veterans so I don't know if it counts.
Good thing, I think Kwangya left with LSM.
I am so sick of Kwangya I think it'd just rather my faves disband. I hate that shit with a PASSION

Why? Honestly, I've never understood the hate for Kwangya.
Don't get me wrong I don't like it but I also don't hate it. It doesn't bother me at all.
As long as my favs release the usual beautiful music, I'm good.
And their end/beginning of the year Kwangya concerts are amazing, the collabos are some of the best that Kpop offers.

It's so dumb, it makes no sense. It has been ruining discographies since it's conception. Very clearly a cheap attempt to get into metaverse content. There's no inspiration or heart behind it. There's no meaning other than "we need to invest in metaverse and digital content because we do not know how to read the room and realize no one asked for this". SM has always been innovative and different but the addition of Kwangya makes them seem dated and out of touch. Terrible marketing strategy especially since it was introduced so late into SM's brand as a company. It feels so distinctly 2015-2016 in such a corny way.

Kwangya is not a real thing. It’s cringy and artificial imo. I’d rather hear songs about things that can actually happen in real life and that I could relate to. + trying too hard to seem modern, but actually looking outdated
