When I see kpop mvs and lives, the high note part is almost ALWAYS the *most replayed* part of the video according to Youtube. I've seen this for many videos. So I wonder why there's a general downplaying of having high notes in songs when they are so popular and people keep replaying that part. Maybe because not all groups can do it...
Why do fans downplay kpop high notes?

because idols never pull that shit off actually well without any support

For me if it's just a high note that doesn’t have a specific addictive melody and doesn't fit perfectly with the beat then I won’t be replaying that part. Even though it’s impressive.
Example of high notes that I will replay because they are addictive are Katy Perry’s Harley’s in Hawaii and this

I love high notes in songs if they are placed well. The problem is that most groups struggle a lot with those notes outside of the studio. I worry for some idols it will become like a Mariah Carey situation where it sounds great in the recording but is always dodged or lipped in live performances and ultimately disappoints in concerts.

What do you mean by "downplaying" you mean, acting as if they are nothing impressive to sing? Well, in some cases that could make sense as they could have just screamed it in the studio trying over and over again, then touched it up with editing, and they never did it live, so it wouldn't seem that impressive.

If the high note is misplaced and appears randomly should be downplayed.
